So as I approach my 100th Blog Post since starting down this path I have been doing some introspection and the one thing that I am noticing is the comments that are I receive on a personal level from colleagues, clients and prospective clients when Social Networking brings us together.
I will be participating in the 5th Blog Day on August 31 but I thought that I would also jump out there and make this part of my regular routine. Over the first 113 days of my blogging experience I have had a pretty solid strategy that has held me fairly true to my goal of a Post 6 days per week come hell or high water and at this point I am actually thinking of shaking things up a bit and changing my routine to work in the Post a Day mentality that I have gotten into over the past two months.
As it stands I have 7 Distinct Categories that I fit my posts into…
- Personal Improvement (Monday)
- Linux (Tuesday)
- Enterprise IT (Wednesday)
- The Rants (Thursday)
- Consumer Tech (Friday)
- Other (When Ever)
This may fundamentally change over the next few weeks, not because I have run out of things to say but because I want to add more distinct categories that can better connect with the new pieces of the Social Puzzle that I am adding to my 15 hour per week “part time job”…oh wait…no one is paying me for this…ok let’s rephrase that as my way of venting and working through the frustrations of being a Sales Professional…there much better.
Social Networking has become pretty key to my current role as an Account Manager for the world class IT Research and Advisory Firm the Info-Tech Research Group. I have clients from as far away as Dubai that with regularity reach out to me because of my Social Posts and that is the exact reason why I am doing what I am doing.
There will not be a post tomorrow as I will be rebuilding the format of the site and will be tying all of my Social Channels together and focusing on different messages through the different channels. At the center of my social universe will be www.chrisjpowell.com which will become much more than just the launch pad to blog.chrisjpowell.com and I will be using different avenues to promote discussions and connections to better support and filter through the combination of Spam and legitimate comments that I receive each day.
To the thousands who have stopped by in the past…I hope you like the make over as much as I have enjoyed being a part of your daily read…by Monday Morning Eastern Time…a new home for Krispy will emerge and it will be a lot more interactive.
Thanks for being a part of my Social Network…Connect with me on LinkedIn, friend me on Facebook, follow me on Twitter, Add me to one of your Circles on Google+ or just reach out by email to krispy at london dot com.
