Aging and Technology

It is funny how the older that I get the more technology starts to become almost foreign to me.  I can only imagine what it must be like for those out there over 70 who remember gathering around the radio for an evening radio broadcast, the option of leaded or unleaded gas in our cars and telephones that were permanently fixed to the wall.  Time seems to speed up as I get older and the good old days for me…really are that time when the technology we take for granted today was just starting to emerge.

A glimpse into the future will reveal an astounding array of things that will confound those of us still struggling to stay caught up with the technology of today and the speed of that change is likely only to grow.  I went looking for a “futurist” view of the world and found an interesting video that looks 5-10 years into the future and the things that we will take for granted in 2020-2025:

Is the future really bright…or will we just be getting by?
