Chrome has come to an ICS powered Android near you!

A beta launch of the Google Chrome browser has happened for users lucky enough to have Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).  The goal is to get more of its desktop computer application into the mobile space, with some great browser specific plugins and apps already available I am excited for this future.

Sundar Pichai, Senior Vice President in charge of Chrome and Applications said:

Chrome for Android has been designed from the ground up for mobile devices.  The software is “focused on speed and simplicity, but it also features seamless sign-in and sync so you can take your personalized Web browsing experience with you wherever you go, across devices.”

This announcement comes on the heals of the Desktop version of Chrome being announced as “the most secure browser for Microsoft Users” by the German Federal Office for Information Security (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik or BSI).

While confirming this statement by the BSI I found a treasure trove of great insights from the Motherland, among the most impressive is a 48 page IT Security Situation in Germany 2011 report.  If you have a chance, give it a read as it really does give a great European perspective to the InterWebz and the future of IT Security.

Sharing is what this blog is all about…check out the video from the Google Blog:

Well, it was a rough day yesterday and today is not looking any better for this Tech Sales Guy.  Head down, power through and see you all on the other side!
