This Day in Tech History – Project Gutenberg

December 1

On this day in 1971, the father of the modern eBook made is first post to what has now become known as Project Gutenberg (the digitization of the world of literature) when he used his valuable usAdd Mediaer time on the Super Computer at the University of Illinois to post the digitized version of the Declaration of Independence.  Little did he know that 43 years later, the Project would be home to over 46,000 free ebooks that anyone with an Internet Connection can access!
